International Conference on Parietal Lobe Function

Artis Zoo, Amsterdam | 20-21 September 2010

Travel

The best way to visit Amsterdam is by NS train (Dutch Railways). From Schiphol Airport, the train to Amsterdam Central Station takes 15 minutes. Artis is easily accessible by public transport: trams 9 and 14 stop at Plantage Kerklaan and tram 10 at Alexanderplein. Or you can take the metro to Waterlooplein.
check the public transport journey planner at http://journeyplanner.9292.nl/

for maps, check the gvb website

We would advise you to avoid coming by car to Amsterdam.
For those who nevertheless would like to come by car, more than 350 parking spaces are available in front of the main entrance to the zoo (Plantage Kerklaan 38-40, note this entrance is about 300 m from the entrance for the conference rooms, Plantage Middenlaan 41a-43), see also the map of the area.

Participants who would like to use a parking space need to have their parking ticket approved by one of the staff members after entering the conference rooms. Parking fees are € 7,50 irrespective of length of stay, but if the tickets are not approved then a flat starting fee of € 25 will be applied, together with an hourly rate of € 4. The parking fee needs to be paid before leaving at one of the parking machines.
